DEPLORABLE DEFINED...and a Merry Christmas to you !

DEPLORABLE

"causing or being a subject for censure, reproach, or disapproval; wretched; very bad:"

censure: strong or vehement expression of disapproval:

reproach: a cause or occasion of disgrace or discredit. to find fault with (a person, group, etc.); blame;

disapproval:  the act or state of disapproving; a condemnatory feeling, look, or utterance; censure:

wretched; despicable, contemptible, or mean: poor, sorry, or pitiful; worthless:

and very bad!!

NOW.  Put all of these definitions in one basket.

Hillary has a strong dislike for people who do not support her.

We are, in her eyes, despicable, contemptible, mean, pitiful and therefore, worthless.  Worthless to her, rather.

So, we have been condemned by her statement.  Her utterance.  Her words.

Why?

Because I will stand during the Pledge of Allegiance.
Because I think we should ALL be required to show ID in order to vote!
Because I think we should keep our doctor.
Because I don't think I should have to press 'one' for English.
Because I still identify with the gender I was born with.
Because I don't believe illegals should have free college tuition and collect a bigger check than those on social security.
Because I do not want to be swarmed with illegals who rob, rape, and steal...in our cities.
Because I do not approve of gay marriage.
Because I stand for the Bible as it teaches righteousness.
Because I stand for marriage between one man and one woman.
Because I do not desire for Islam, Muslims, to take over our country, enforcing Sharia Law.
Because I do not approve of transgenders using the rest room with our children...
Because I believe we are created as...  a male - or - a female.
Because I am a Christian.
Because I do not approve of Socialism.
Because I am proud of my country and love to salute the flag of the United States of America...and include the words, Under God.
Because I do not approve of murdering unborn babies!!
Because I value our military and respect them.
Because I do not believe anything Hillary says.
Because I am against the liberal/Democrat anti-God leadership and values.
Because I believe in God, Jesus, His Son, and the Holy Spirit!

Thus, I am of no value, I am despicable, and a disgrace to the Democratic Party who wholly supports Hillary and ignores the crimes she has committed.

Just put me in the basket with the rest of the Deplorables.  I will feel right at home.

Thank you, Hillary, for letting me know just how you feel about decent, moral loving, patriotic Americans.

Oh, Yes....where can I purchase the t-shirt?

AND.... MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU !!

Crabs in the bucket often have Crab Mentality!

While searching for motivational quotes (which I enjoy)
I clicked on the link giving me "45 Ways to Live Life to the Fullest."

I got stuck on #8.  Not only was it funny - but it's so true.  Then I clicked on another link (I know you do this, too - it's called 'research') and read further.  Here is the #8 "Way to Live" that caught my attention:

#8 - Don’t be a crab in the bucket. You’ve heard the expression "Crabs in the Bucket" – its the tendency crabs have for pulling other crabs back down, right when they’re about to climb out. When you break from the norm, you’ll get pushback from your loved ones. Its not jealousy – they genuinely care for us. But people living the life society tells them to live ... get scared when they see others going for it. Even if they do it subconsciously, and even if it’s out of genuine concern – its still harmful. It creates a culture of conformity, mediocrity, and quiet desperation. Don’t be a crab in the bucket.

Sure enough, there is a crab mentality that says, "If I can't have it, I sure don't want you to have it."

Let one crab start climbing to escape from their ho-hum life in the bucket of nothing ... and other crabby crabs with their crab mentality start grabbing and yanking the escapee by the legs .. thus ... the ONE crab who desires more out of life, regardless of having a past as one of the crabby crabs.... is pulled back down in the depths of the bucket of nothing.  Hope is gone.  The adventurous crab gives up.  And dies.

There may be crabby crabs in your life.  They know you.  Therefore, they are determined that you can't grow and change  - you can't become!  Any change on your part is resented by the other crabs because they don't have the desire to change.  They would rather keep you in the bucket with them than let you find the freedom to live your dreams.

Everyone wants freedom.  Jesus came to set us free.  If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.  He gives us life and more abundantly.  Jesus is your way out of a boring bucket existence ... Since you are no longer a crabby crab, the crabby crab bucket is not a place of pleasure and you long for joy, peace, and a life worth living!

I am reminded of a children's song from Sunday School:

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy
Down in my heart
Down in my heart
Down in my heart

I've got the joy, joy, joy, joy
Down in my heart,
Down in my heart to stay

Then it goes on to another verse:

I've got the peace that passes understanding
Down in my heart
Down in my heart
Down in my heart

Repeat that last verse and by now you have made it to the rim of the bucket.  Now, JUMP!  You just eluded the clasp of crabby crab claws!  Yes!  Freedom feels good!

No more worldly conformity, spiritual mediocrity, and living in a state of quiet desperation.

Remember, life can be better.  Keep your dreams alive and climb!!!

THE LIGHT THAT WON'T GO OUT...

This evening the sun was just beginning to set.  Tommy had been gone only minutes when the lights in the apartment went out.  No big deal.  There was still plenty of light.  While I was looking for some source of light (like a flashlight), suddenly the lights came back on.  That's good.  Then ... a bit later, they went out a second time.  Now it's a little darker than before.  This is not good.  I pulled the chain on the light in the hall.  It's supposed to be a back-up light run by a generator just in case the lights go out ~ ~ ~ but it doesn't work.  No problem, the electricity came back on, again.

Now, it's totally dark.  I still have power ... even though the clocks have to be reset and the fan won't resume it's normal cooling duties without being turned on again each time ... yes, it is great to have 'light'.

This reminds me of the world we live in.  As long as we have adequate vision of our surroundings, we are able to tolerate the lights dimming.  If we can see to continue our daily lives, we don't worry too much about the darkness settling in around us... spiritually.

Our country is getting darker as time passes.  Daily, I read about an act of human behavior that is worse than the last.

Jesus addressed a crowd one day.  And in this moment he gave us the answer for the spiritual darkness of our world.  Here's the story... in my words:

Early one morning Jesus came from the Mount of Olives to the temple and the people came to him.  He sat down.  Then He taught them.  While He was there, the scribes and pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery.  Do you remember how Jesus ministered in this situation?  He forgave the woman of her sin as the bystanders challenged Him ... so He bent down and wrote in the ground.  Turning to them, He challenged her accusers:  "You without sin, cast the first stone."  They were convicted and left the scene!  The youngest to the oldest!  Jesus and the woman were left alone.

Surely, there were observers of this event, for then Jesus announced to them: "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."  (John 8:12)

Another important verse in the ninth chapter of John, Jesus declares: "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

The darker the world becomes ... the more I must have Jesus in my life.  He is the light of the world.  If I follow Him, I will not walk in darkness.  Others around me may stumble ... but my path is clear.   I will not fall.  I can function as usual.

What a definite doctrine this is!  He is my Light.  He is my guide!  I follow Him.  He is my Fountain of Light.  He is my Truth!  How wonderful it is to walk in joy because Jesus Christ lights my steps!

As spiritual darkness settles in around me... the Light must increase in my spirit.  That Light increases through the knowledge of God the Father and by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.  He is the Light of my life!  My joy of serving the Lord need not diminish.  Rather, it can and will shine all the brighter as darkness intensifies.

What a contrast!  Oh, that the Light of Jesus in me and in you will shine for all to see, leading others to this Light.

No, I won't be in spiritual darkness, even if the lights go out for there's a Power source that never diminishes.  Praise be to His Name.  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Light of the world!

I'M TAKING A STAND!! I will not bend, I will not bow, I will not burn!!

I am American.  Born, raised, and still alive in my own country!

NEVER have I seen a time my country has been so exposed to a president spewing such rank sewage at decent humans!  And this from an administration led by a muslim community organizer ...  to our own people!

Barack Hussein Obama and his administration just issued a decree today amounting to the straw that broke the camel's back!  Our school districts received a letter demanding transgenders (and any other perverted human) be allowed to use bathrooms that match their gender identity!  This is an overreach of the use of authority.

This edict is in total disregard of the consequences to our children.  Obama's decree gives complete freedom for every emotionally disturbed, dysfunctional, person to approach and torment our precious innocent children!

I agree with a Texas school official:  Dr. Rodney Cavness, PN-G ISD superintendent.  "Dr. Cavness made national headlines in his response Thursday night with criticism of what he called the President's lack of leadership and criticism of the directive, saying he'd throw out the piece of paper."  He further stated, ""I don't recognize President Obama. Nothing he does has any shred of leadership. When I get that letter I'll throw it away,"

I'm taking the same stand tonight...May 13, 2016.  I DON'T RECOGNIZE PRESIDENT OBAMA...NOTHING HE DOES HAS ANY SHRED OF LEADERSHIP.

TODD STARNES:  "School districts that dare defy the administration’s directives could face lawsuits and lose millions of dollars in federal funding. Resistance, in other words, is futile."

The following is also from Starnes post:

"One of the most forceful rebukes came from Tennessee Congresswoman Diane Black:

“I believe the Obama administration is now directly responsible for endangering our students,” she said. “It is worth nothing that this directive does not carry the force of law – and I would encourage Tennessee school officials to continue following their consciences.”
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said that Congress must intervene to stop what he called an imperial president.
“If the president chooses to go forward with this outrageous order – then congress should begin impeachment proceedings,” he said.
Perkins said the decree should be “resisted with ever legal and moral instrument we have available to us in this country.”
---------------------------
The threat to withdraw federal funding is a bully mentality.  IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY!  It belongs to the people of this United States.  You know ... the people who work hard and try to raise a family and pay their bills on what is left after taxes!  If you want to play hard ball, just let the nation hold their money back and see how long your last, Mr. President!   You keep your thirty pieces of silver - and we will keep our tax dollars!

Furthermore, let me make this clear to Obama and his workers: As decent people who love our country and who have decent morals and remember when our nation was good.... Hear this:  We will not bend, we will not bow, we will not burn!  We know the fourth Man in the fire!
I stand for the Word of God.   I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior.  I believe God when He says, "Be ye holy, for I am holy."  Thus, I denounce this wicked administration (with every fiber of my being) and their anti-christ actions coming against our nation !

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America!
pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands. One brotherhood, uniting all mankind, in service and love."

God Bless America, the Land that I love !!

Relax ... and live another day

Is this you?
Sometimes it's me.
It's hard to unwind.
The mind never stops.

Technology affords instant and constant contact with life around us and around the world.  And the world is busy.

Shut the world down for a bit.
Read a book.
Listen to music.
Laugh with a friend.
Listen to a good sermon.
Write a blog.
Sign off.
Rest.

Relax
and live another day.

God is good - all the time and
all the time - God is good.

GREETINGS FROM BELIZE

We are enjoying these few days of cooler weather.  Today is was about 81 degrees, but it feels cooler because of the gentle breeze.  Today was slower paced.  Studying has been our mail goal.  We're blessed to teach a class at the Assemblies of God Bible Institute in Belize City.  Tommy teaches on Tuesday night....and I teach on Thursday night.  My subject is, "Old Testament Historical Books" ... from 6 pm to 8 pm.

We have a team of workers arriving next Thursday from Arkansas -- so I am striving to get ahead on lesson preparations for the next two weeks.  Today I concluded my study guide for lesson 12, the Books of I and II Chronicles.

Although it's a relatively short lesson, it is packed with great truths....and these points show just how on target God was and is, regarding His plan for the Messiah to appear!  I Chronicles 17:14  "But I will settle him in My house and My kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forevermore."

I'm amazed at just how steadily and perfectly God stays on course with His plan.  He used imperfect men and women and He chose them based upon their obedience to Him ... because that obedience produced the character needed for the task ahead.  Personal character actually grows out of obedience to God.

A story is included in this chapter of a minister in a large city who was beset by all the pressures of the pastoral scene.  In desperation, he searched for and found a place where he could get away from the phone and demands of his office.  He found it in the baptistry of his large church.  As he honored God by seeking His face daily and waiting in His presence, God honored him and enlarged his ministry so that the work of that church prospered and grew beyond all that could have been done through human means.

The next paragraph is one to remember:

*"Love for God will always leave its material mark.  When men of God were possessed of holy faith, something material always happened as a testimony of God's power and their faith (Hebrews 11).  In David's case it was the temple that was brought into being.  But let us be brought again to the basic truth that God's work is fundamentally spiritual in nature even though it is material in expression.  The temple of God must first be built in the human heart; then its material expression will be blessed and used of God.  The reverse order can never succeed."

LOVE is the focus of the weekend.  And I love this sentence:  "Love for God will always leave its material mark."   We love ... then we express that love.  God loved ... and He expressed that love to us through Jesus Christ.

May the love of God abound in your hearts and may your love for Him ... and obedience of His word, produce the character in you which will launch the plan of God in your life.

Much love from Belize ...

Scriptures To Pray For Our National Election

This is a crucial hour for our nation.  Perhaps, more than ever before, we must seriously look at where we are, where we are headed, and the freedom that is being taken from us.  The pot is slowly coming to a boil, while we look the other way ... busy tending to our life with it's concerns.

I discovered a blog this morning while searching for scriptures to use in praying for our nation.  The author encouraged sharing these verses for use in prayer for our upcoming election.  I'm posting the content along with the link.

You may want to print/share this, also.  Christians, we are powerful in prayer!  Now is the time to rise and declare the Word of the Lord.  Now is the time to practice what we preach!

Prayer is just as powerful today as it ever has been in the past because God has not changed. God is still on the throne. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? Nothing is too hard for God.
