MARK OF THE BEAST

"I am writing to Timothy, my dear son.  Timothy, I thank God for you.  I remember your faith.  I long to see you.  Fan into flames the spiritual gift that God gave you when I laid my hands on you. Never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.  Hold on to the pattern of wholesome teaching you learned from me - a pattern shaped by the faith and love that you have in Christ Jesus.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives with in us, carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to you."   Love,  Paul. (2 Timothy, chapt 1)

Timothy,  Carefully Guard the Precious Truth 

That Has Been Entrusted to You.   

Guard Truth, Timothy.  Guard the truths of the Word of God.   

In other words, Paul was saying to Timothy:  

Keep a sound doctrine ... 

For sound doctrine will deliver you from the snare of false teaching.   

The apostle Paul exhorted Timothy further in the third chapter:  "You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.  You have been taught scripture from childhood.  Stay faithful to the things you have been taught."

In the book of Titus, Paul encouraged him to have a strong belief in the trustworthy message he was taught.  Paul could very well write the same words to believers today.   

We are in the last days and there are difficult times.  BUT, THANK GOD, WE HAVE HIS WORD TO ANCHOR OUR SOUL.  WE HAVE THE TRUTH OF THE WORD TO KEEP US STEADFAST.  

We are facing times never known to America.  During this season, teaching will appear with explanations and reasoning - attempting to account for the unusual.  We are in the last of the last days as I mentioned in my last blog.  

I do believe there are undercurrents and hidden agendas behind the corona virus.  Yes, there are control factors looming from actions of politicians and leaders.  I'm aware of the article in the Washington Times referring to HR 6666:

"A house resolution from Illinois Democrat Rep. Bobby Rush that would put Big Government in charge of tracking citizens' movements as they relate to COVID-19 mitigation efforts - even sending health bureaucrats to "individuals' residences, "as necessary," as the legislation states - has a most apt number: 6666.  

Mark of the beast.  Mark of the beast for a beastly, monstrously unconstitutional bill.  

Videos proclaim to add up the word 'corona' - and arrive at a total of "666."

Yes !!  Bill Gates is the vaccine father of the world.  He's the king of vaccine.  It's his goal to vaccine the entire world !!  Of course, they desire a follow-up with TRACE - a tracking system ... they MUST know who has the vaccine and who does not !!   It is called the TRACE Act... Testing, Reaching, and Contacting Everyone....in all its $100 billion price tag.  

For some time articles have claimed a certain 'chip' is the mark of the beast.  Everyone is on alert.  Is this the mark of the beast?  Is the mark of the beast here?  What is the mark of the beast?   I'm inclined to believe it is not a chip.  Chips can be removed. The mark of the beast will be a mark to determine if you worship the beast, the anti-christ, or not. With it you will be eternally lost, spiritually, but you will be able to buy and sell. Without it, you will be hunted and killed because you have not given allegiance to the anti-christ.

As someone pointed out: Technology can NEVER be the mark of the beast.  Micro-chips, satellites, I.D. cards, etc. may be used to help track and keep count of, but it cannot be the mark itself.  The true mark is a spiritual mark.   He further explains: The real mark of the beast is a spiritual mark that is received as a result of going against God and His laws.  It's a spiritual way of identifying who someone is and who they belong and pledge their allegiance to.

The TRUTH of the mark of the beast is found in the Word of God.  

Revelation 13:16-18  "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom.  Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

We are being set up to embrace a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.  Indeed.  

We are being conditioned to receive chips.  Indeed.  

We are being set up to be tracked.  Indeed.  

We are being set up for the tribulation period.  Indeed.  

We are being set up to receive the mark of the beast.  Indeed.

But, it is not here at this time.  

REAL TRUTH is this:  The church age has not ended.  

REAL TRUTH reveals that the church has not yet been raptured.

REAL TRUTH clearly shows that there is not yet one world leader.

REAL TRUTH declares that the call to receive the mark of the beast will appear when the anti-christ demands it. 

This is why sound doctrine matters.  We are as sheep.  Easily led.  Easily persuaded.  Sheep will run from what frightens them and they band together in large groups for protection from predators.  When one sheep moves, the rest will follow.... even if it does not seem to be a good idea.

We have a GREAT SHEPHERD who loves the sheep.  Even though we may not be worth loving, we need loving.  We need guidance.  We need TRUTH.  Follow the Good Shepherd.  

The Word of God is TRUTH.  The Word is our guide.  

While opportunities give way to conclusions, and often, sensationalism... let us be grounded and steadfast in doctrine, holding to Truth.

God will bring future events into play, but it will be on His Timetable.  

REAL TRUTH STILL STANDS.  

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN

We have already entered into the very last of the last days.

It's wise to live with Eyes Wide Open.  

The China Communist Party Corona Virus put our nation into a tailspin.  The first sign of catastrophe was the rush on toilet paper, of all things.  People panicked.  Then they cleared out the shelves of tp like a herd of five to six foot tall locusts.  That was the beginning.

Next came fear.  After that, came government rules.  Stay home.  Wear masks. Use gloves. Wash hands.  Social distancing. Stores marked people walking instructions on their floors.  "X" marks the spot.  Stand here.  Arrows at the end of aisles.  Do not enter.  Enter here.   

Later, there came lawlessness, but not from common citizens.  Lawlessness, or, overreaching, came from a random few of those in authority.  I viewed a video of one woman who was handcuffed and wrestled to the ground by police because she didn't have her mask on correctly.  Of course, she had much resistance, but, I might not have been so happy about the encounter, either.  A governor revoked a seventy-seven year old barber's license because he didn't obey her command to NOT open his shop for business.

A Power surge (along with major ego's) manifested openly among a few state governors and city mayors.  It's their time to shine!  And they grabbed the opportunity to be in charge.  Albeit, some leaders took protective measures to slow the spread of the virus, yes, but still, far too many used the crisis and became nothing short of a tyrant.

There are three steps used to remake a culture.

1.  Problem
2.  Reaction
3.  Solution

1. PROBLEM.   The world has a problem.  The China Communist Party Corona Virus.  If we open our eyes, we will see that SOME in our nation discussed a crisis that could happen.  Is it a coincidence that it did happen?  Nah.  OK.  SO WE HAVE A PROBLEM.  A world-wide ... nation-wide ... problem.  Never waste a crisis.  Next move?

2.  REACTION.  Watch how the people will respond to the problem.  Fear?  Good.  That's what we want.   Let's feed it with exaggerated statistics.  Their reaction to the problem gives us an open door called, control.  

3.  SOLUTION.  Lockdown!  Close businesses. Quarantine healthy people.  Release criminals from prisons.  Close churches!  Arrest pastors who attempt to have church - even if the people are isolated in their cars in the church parking lot.  

Churches must close but abortion clinics may remain open.  Abortion is essential, after all !!  Do what we say, how we say it, for as long as we tell you ... to ...  do what we say!  After all, We know what is best for you, because we are the leaders and we are above you and we are in charge!    Take note little people, as they tell you that this is your New Normal.   

The mayor of Los Angeles said that his city will "never be fully open" until there is a cure for the novel coronavirus.   Bill Gates says we should stay ... stay ... in lockdown ... for 18-24 months, and wait until everyone is tested and vaccinated - with his vaccine.  

Dr. Fauci mentioned that we may not be able to open our public schools in the fall !!  Really ?   It's mid May of 2020.  I don't have room in this blog to list all if this man's connections with liberals.  But, they are many. Scary.

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN ... This is the day that we must be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves."  Matthew 10:16

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN ... We recognize the signs of the times.  We're in the last of the last days.  We are seeing, with our own eyes, daily events ushering in last days prophecies.  We are seeing changes in our world and in our own country that never, never would have been thought of before.  

Christians, we are in the early throes of struggling for freedom of worship.  Our freedom of expression is being attacked by a select number of people called Facebook's Supreme Court.  Recently, a new member appointed to the court is an Islamist with allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood.  Liberal posts on Facebook and Instagram have free reign, but if a conservative dares to post opinions or revealing information opposite of the liberal agenda - katiebarthedoor! That post will be removed because it goes against their standards.  What they really mean is: your post does not agree with our agenda - so you are wrong - and we will take it down, because we can!  

Here is the real truth:  Facebook’s “Supreme Court,” the independent oversight body has been tasked with making decisions on controversial content issues, including online extremism, hate speech, harassment, and user privacy and security related to Facebook and Instagram. Once assigned to this position, they stated that they cannot be removed until their term expires.  Zuckerberg is in agreement with this policy.  

LET'S GET OUR EYES WIDE OPEN, FOLKS.  Take a good look at a plan for Socialism.  Prepare for persecution Christians and conservatives.  

I shared a meme on my group page, End Time News, stating, "If people were told to get into boxcars to be taken to 'virus protection camps' many of them would rush to get in line."  

Regrettably, it's true.  Again, it's the formula for cultural change.  Problem.  Reaction.  Solution.  

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN - we are watching one certain political party move with determination to lead us into a New World Order.  They repeatedly declare they are working for the good of The American People.  Not so.

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN - We see clearly that the stage is being set quickly for the coming of the Lord.  The Rapture of the Church. Our Blessed Hope.

As one pastor/author wrote: If you see these things occurring commonly or on a widespread basis, you are to take it as a signal that we have passed across the line and have entered into the final chapter of history as we have known it...hurtful, harmful, dangerous, unpredictable, uncontrollable, high-risk periods of time will come.

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN - It's time to live with an eternal perspective.  Life in America as we have known it ... is changing.  

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN - Our children must be taught Truth.  We cannot allow them to be swallowed up in the world system proclaimed by progressives.  

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN - Let's dig our heels in the dirt and say 'NO' to liberal pressure.  Let's rise and sound the alarm.  Let's pull our children into our arms and lead them into the ark of safety ... before the door shuts and the strong rains of an anti-christ mentality come upon us suddenly.  

Today, we may proclaim as the minor prophet, Habakkuk, in chapter 3 .... 

17) Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
    and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
    and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
    and the cattle barns are empty,
18 18) yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
    I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
19 19) The Sovereign Lord is my strength!

WITH EYES WIDE OPEN, 

WE WILL NOT BOW.  

WE WILL NOT BURN.  

WE WILL NOT BEND.

GOD'S NATURE IS SUPERNATURAL

I'm sitting here reading friends FB posts and two of them in particular grabbed my attention: one is from a pastor ... another, a new missionary couple.  Two phrases caught me to the point I wanted to remember them and pass it along to you:

1.  The God Ask

2.  It is His nature to be supernatural

Even during this season of 'shut-down' and crisis ...  these folks are reaching out.  They are touching lives.  They are still working to send a needed message of encouragement to people - or - working to raise their monthly budget in order to reach various countries with the knowledge of the Word of God.  I'm reminded of the chorus we used to sing in church:

God's got an army marching through the land. 
Deliverance is their song and healing in their hand,
With ever-lasting joy and gladness in their hearts,
And in this army I have a part.  . .

THE GOD ASK

As I read the post from the missionaries, the phrase ... the God ask ...  So, there it is; the God Ask.  Missionaries need to continue raising their monthly support during this time when churches are only holding online or parking lot services.   I was impressed with the phrase: the God ask.  Why?  Because, we are told in the Word of God that "... we have not because we ask not."  James 4:2.  

It's time to consider that verse once more!   "...we have not because..."  It's obvious that God can supply abundantly (more than we can ask or think)  that which we have need of.  Matthew 6:8 "your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him!"   Often the problem of receiving is that we haven't asked!  

If we only realized the abundance available in the Hands of the Lord.  If we could grasp the willingness of our Creator to bless us with plenty.  If we could comprehend the power available to us from the Throne of God. It's a source of which the likes of man has not yet seen.  A source from which we are instructed to tap, to draw from, to receive of the fullness of the Godhead.  We've been offered it all through the blood of Jesus Christ.  Yes, I could shout here!!!   This is powerful.  This is a message to you today from the Spirit of God.  Go for it.  Don't waste another day.  Remember, the God ask!  

How much have I forfeited in life simply because I did not ask - I didn't put it out there in prayer.  I neglected "the God ask" ...  

IT IS HIS NATURE TO BE SUPERNATURAL

This phrase was in the pastor's post.  Oh, how we forget the supernatural actions of God!  Everything He does is supernatural.    Read in Genesis chapter one about His supernatural ability.  It took a supernatural act to create the heaven and the earth.  The second supernatural act was when the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters because the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep.  

It is His nature to be supernatural when He speaks!  In verse 3 God spoke and commanded light to appear.  He saw that His supernatural act was good - the light was divided from the darkness.  Then God spoke and named the light, day.  He spoke supernatural words once more and renamed the darkness, night.  His supernatural words continued until the waters were divided, heaven was named, and the days of His creation were numbered. 

His supernatural words called the dry land earth - the waters He named, seas.... note that when He speaks, it happens according to His words and He is pleased!  Everything mentioned in that chapter reveal the supernatural power of God's Words.  Creation was abundant.  God's creation brings life.  Because, it is His nature to be supernatural.  

When you do the God ask ....  It is His nature to be supernatural in His answers!

Write this on paper and post it around the house.  

    When you do "the God ask," 
                         "it is His nature to be supernatural" in His answers!

Here are a few ways that God shows His limitless love for us:

1.  He created us.
2.  He sustains us.
3.  He sent His Son, Jesus, to be the blood sacrifice for our sins.
4.  He saves us from our sins when we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
5.  He allows us to become a part of the family of God.
6.  He has prepared a place for us in heaven.
7.  He will take us to heaven to live eternally with Him.

But ... before we are raptured at the sound of the trumpet ... before we leave this life on earth ...  be assured that you can "ask"  and receive from a "supernatural God" because it is His nature to be supernatural.

The Song of the Drunkards

A PSALM OF DAVID.  

Psalm 69 reads as a man troubled by those around him.  David was suffering persecution, rejection, shame, and alienation because he stood for RIGHT.  He spoke against WRONG.  He suffered because of people who loved their status and their sin.    

As we in America watch evil magnified - good referred to as evil and hearing some calling evil good ... we can identify with David in this chapter of Psalms.  It isn't the average citizen attacking all that is right, it's the political leaders who booed God in their convention a few years past.  It's the leaders who celebrated when a bill was passed to kill babies, even when they are accidentally born alive.  Celebrate ... have a party ... clap your hands ... for we can now legally murder babies!     EVIL.  

David said in verses 1 and 2 of this chapter:  1) Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck [they threaten my life].  2) I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, where the floods overwhelm me.  (Amplified version)

David is overwhelmed by personal enemies.  They are vicious and without heart.
The hostile acts projected to him by the haters are as a missile to a target and they are launched by lies.  He is hated because he stands for righteousness.  No, David was not perfect.  But, he stood against a faction of haters who demanded unrighteousness in the camp.  David even went as far to say that they were more in number than the hairs of my head ... who hate me without cause ...  mighty are those who would destroy me...those who attack me with lies.  What I did not steal must I now restore? 

A leader of strength arises in opposition to the power of the swamp.  He threatens to reduce their evil to rubble, to scrap, showing their agenda worth nothing more than waste product. The power of the swamp has lined the pockets of more than one politician.  Their greed has extended beyond our borders unto the utmost nations with a hidden corruption known only to God.   Little wonder they hate ... Little wonder they seek to destroy ... Little wonder they lie ... Little wonder they prostrate themselves in wait, ready to accuse. 

Many call this Psalm a reference to the sufferings of Christ ...  but when you drill down far enough, you will see that the real cause of persecution to Jesus and to David, was because they had a zeal for God.  

A zeal for God and biblical principles will not be tolerated among the high political powers that be if it disrupts, interferes with, or condemns their anti-god agenda.  

Read this chapter again.  Can you see what is happening in America?  Look closely at verse 12.  "They that sit in the gate speak against me: and I was the song of the drunkards."  Read it once more.  And, again.  The song of the drunkards.   

We have habitual drunkards in high places.  They are given over to the excessive use of  the intoxicating drink of destruction.  They have lost the power or will to control themselves, anxiously perched in public places so they can sing their song of condemnation and reproach against a leader who opposes them.  They loudly sing the song of the drunkards.  They are drunk with power.  Drunk with opposing God.

Do you want to know the real reason for the actions of hate from those not comfortable with with spiritual principles?  They opposed all that David stood for.  They projected their hate for God upon David.  It's not the man David that they despised so much, it's the Man Christ Jesus that they really despised.  Today, it's Christianity that they can't tolerate.  It's righteousness they can't allow to reign.  So, they take it out on the man at the top.  The man trying to drain the swamp.

Let's be clear.  David was not a perfect man.  He said in verse 5: "O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee."  Neither is perfection found in Donald Trump.  But, President Trump is in the same position today as David was long ago.   

Yes, they will continue with their plan to destroy.  Investigate, impeach ...  two words revealing their aggression of destruction against Trump.  They are drunk with this agenda. 

 It's the Song of the Drunkards:  INVESTIGATE, IMPEACH.

What did David do in this season?  He cried out to God. "... hide not thy face from thy servant....hear me speedily...draw nigh unto my soul ... deliver me because of mine enemies."

In vs. 22-28 David prays for judgment to come on those who oppose  God and who inflict suffering upon the righteous.   There is a divine judgment coming and at that day Christians will approve what God does.   

Hebrews 10:31 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."  

Isaiah 19:16 "In that day the Egyptians will become like women.  They will tremble with fear beneath the uplifted hand of the LORD of Hosts, when He brandishes it against them.

David closes this chapter with a declaration:  30) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.  35) For God will save Zion  36) The seed also of his servants shall inherit it:  and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

Make haste, O God, to deliver .... Make haste.

THE LEFT'S GREATEST FEAR

CAN YOU GUESS WHAT IS THE LEFT'S (aka DEMOCRAT LEADERS) GREATEST FEAR?

Your first response might be ... a recession.  Or, maybe terrorist attacks.  Surely it's a cyber attack.... or war in our streets .... or a world war, maybe.  Guess again.

Let me give you a hint. 

1.  A July 3, 2013 article from Christian Post.

"For several hours between Tuesday and Wednesday, the phrase "Hail Satan" trended on Twitter as word spread that abortion supporters had chanted it at pro-life Christians singing "Amazing Grace" amid mounting tensions over the pending passage of strict abortion laws in the Texas Capitol. 

Going from riotous to sacrilegious, they chanted "Hail Satan" while pro-life activists were singing, "Amazing Grace"  - "'Hail Satan!' was actually the compromise chant. The hot-heads wanted 'We Know It's Murder And We Don't Care!'"

2.  NEW: The St. Paul, Minn., city council adopted a controversial resolution this week declaring March 10 as Abortion Providers Appreciation Day and celebrating the “courage” and “dedication” of abortion doctors.

It passed, 7-0.  Let's read that again:  It passed, 7-0 !! 

Their resolution is to memorialize David Gunn, the abortion doctor who was killed on March 10, 1993.   So, on this date, they show appreciation for the high-quality care that abortion providers and staff provide, and they celebrate their courage, compassion, and dedication to their work."

3. Chuck Schumer's Rant:   If you pay even a small amount of attention to the news, you would have seen  the video of minority leader Democrat Chuck Schumer's rant aimed at intimidating two members of the Supreme Court of the United States.  SCOTUS.  The vocal rant on the steps of the Supreme Court was clearly a threat.  For this, Schumer should resign.  At least, he should be censored and fined.

The out of control Schumer threatened Kavanaugh and Gorsuch.  "I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."  Schumer continued: "We will tell President Trump and Senate Republicans who have stacked the court with right-wing ideologues, that you're gonna be gone in November and you will never be able to do what you're trying to do now, ever, ever again. You hear that over there on the far-right? You're gone in November."

In 2019, around 42.4 million pregnancies
ended in abortion worldwide.

According to "Worldometers," which tabulates global statistics on abortion procedures based on the most current available figures from the World Health Organization, 40 to 50 million abortions are performed annually worldwide.

The website notes that in the United States, approximately half of pregnancies are "unintended" with four in 10 ending in an abortion, amounting to over 3,000 abortions being performed every day. Not including miscarriages, 22 percent of all pregnancies end in abortion. 

Globally, around 125,000 abortions happen every day.

Now you know.  The Left's biggest fear is that they won't be allowed to legally murder babies in the womb and then allow them to die on the table should they survive the abortion.  

They simply cannot lose their rights
to the thing they celebrate the most.

I have scarcely skimmed the surface about abortion.  There's more to the subject than I have room to post on this blog.  

The Democrat leaders will stop at nothing to continue the freedom to kill unborn babies.  This is their main agenda for our nation, the heartbeat (no pun intended) of their political agenda.  

Remember the actions of the pro-abortion supporters back in 2013?  

"Hail Satan" 

If you look closely, the pro-choice crowd is also anti-God.  How do I know?  Easy.  Jesus came to give life, and more abundantly.  The enemy exists to destroy life.

John 10:10  "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:  I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

Those are the words of Jesus Christ.

Schumer encouraged the crowd to boo Kavanaugh and Gorsuch ... as he pointed at the Supreme Court building.  Do you remember the DNC convention of 2012? Their delegates voted against putting God back into their platform, and then booed... when the hierarchy ignored them, and did it anyway.     

The display on the steps of the Supreme Court was nothing more than Schumer's mafia at work.  Might we label the Democrat leadership as the devil's mafia hit men?  I think it suits them perfectly.  

The Democrat leaders serve as the devil's mafia hit men as they live to kill the helpless and innocent ... and they expand their assault on children by supporting indoctrination of our children into the LGBTQ movement by exposing them a life as a transgender, questioning their gender identity, and exposing them to the perversion of drag queens.

So, what is the Left's greatest fear?  

Simple.  Their greatest fear is that 

they won't be allowed to murder babies. 

Christians, you stand in their way.  

You must be labeled as haters.

You must be destroyed.

But,  You Must Stand for Truth.

You Must Stand for Right.

You Must Stand for Biblical Principles.

You Must Stand against the devil's mafia hit men.

You Must Have a Voice.

You Must Speak up and Stand up.

The babies are depending on you.

KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON !

The phrase KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON has been used for years as a way of saying, "Just a Minute," "Be Patient,:"  Or, "Hold your horses."

It's an idiom ... the use of words or phrases that aren't meant to be taken literally.    It's a way to say, "calm down" ....  "keep calm."

Where did this phrase originate?  First used in the mid-1800s, keep your shirt on is an American term that most probably stems from the fact that at that time, most men only owned one or perhaps two shirts. Before taking part in an altercation, a man would remove his shirt in order to spare it from being ruined or soiled. The act of removing one’s shirt would serve as a signal that a situation was becoming heated. Telling someone to keep his shirt on indicated a de-escalation of tension.

Someone who is not interested in fighting would want them to literally keep their shirt on.

Sadly, today there is another reason to say, Keep Your Shirt On!  I just read an article (with pictures) about the topless Extinction Rebellion activist in London.  March 9th was International Women's Day, so these women went public, literally, except for their black slacks.

They took to the streets around the world as part of IWD, demanding their right to abort unborn babies.  The article states that the activist aim was to highlight the disproportionate impact of the climate and ecological emergency on women ??????

Really???  This method of protest could be dangerous if the climate was not agreeable on that particular day!    Lol (Laugh out loud), for sure!

Here's a statement from the group:
“The UK action is in solidarity with everyone on the streets for International Women’s Day with the message that ‘climate is a women’s issue’ and calls on women in the UK to recognise this is happening to our sisters in the global south now and will be a reality faced by all women if decisive action is not taken,” the group said.

Since when did climate become a "women's issue?"  I would rather think that nudity would be their "issue!"  

Cotton-pickin',  strippin' to the waist is not an intelligent action for ladies who are concerned with social issues.  

What they are contributing to is the expand of mental derangement.  They are displaying (no pun intended) a lack of modesty and a bad example for young girls to follow.  

Members of the radical feminist group Femen regularly strip down during demonstrations to draw attention to their stated mission of promoting women’s rights.  Listen ladies!!  What you are drawing attention to IS NOT A MISSION TO PROMOTE WOMEN'S RIGHTS!  

Cambridge University Lecturer Victoria Bateman has carved a unique niche for herself by fighting patriarchal institutions with nudity.  Her unorthodox approach to feminism to led international notoriety and appearances - in the nude - on nationally broadcast British TV programs.   (Are you surprised?)

Bateman attended a gala dinner in Brighton, at the annual conference of the Royal Economic Society, the largest gathering of economists in the UK.  Bateman walked into the dinner completely naked, but thankfully, she had on jewelry fitting for a gala event.  Her intent was to express a DEMAND FOR RESPECT FOR WOMEN and their place in economics!   

Bateman says that she is not afraid to use her body and her brain to deliver important messages.   I have to question that statement.  Especially the part about her using her brain. 

Maybe I can sum this up.  I'll try, anyway.  

Women, we do have influence.  The first and perhaps the greatest example of influence is found in Genesis chapter 3.  Eve influenced Adam to eat of of the tree - the forbidden tree with forbidden fruit.  Sin entered through this act of influence.   But....

1.  Godly influence is profitable.   

Matthew 5:13-16 ESV
"You are the salt of the earth, ...You are the light of the world... let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

2.  Godly influence is powerful.  Proverbs 27:17 "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."

I Peter 2:12  "Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

There are many women mentioned in the Bible who influenced for good: 

Jochebed, the Mother of Moses.

Rahab, an unlikely ancestor of Jesus.

Deborah, an influential female judge.

Ruth, a virtuous ancestor of Jesus.

Hannah, the mother of Samuel.

3.  Godly influence is preserving.

Esther saved the Jewish people from destruction, protecting the line of the future Savior, Jesus Christ.  Ester stepped out in courage, proving that God can save His people, even when the odds seem impossible.

Mary, the Mother of Jesus, displayed courage when she was approached by the Angel, Gabriel, announcing that she would be with child.  His Name would be called Jesus.  She bore the Son of God.  Then, she saw Him nailed to an old wooden cross ... for our sins.  She was a devoted women of God.  

Ladies, Keep Your Shirt On.  You don't have to reveal yourselves - you don't have to embarrass the rest of us by indecent exposure.  The greatest influence any woman can have is to be a godly woman.  

To all women: if you desire to be a catalyst for change in society then act like a lady.  Dress like a lady.  Talk like a lady.  Behave like a lady.

To the feminist movement ... please ... just "Keep Your Shirt On!"

COME AND DINE ... AGAIN.

Come and Dine the Master Calleth, Come and Dine
You may sup with Jesus all the time
He Who fed the multitude, Turned the water into Wine
To the hungry calleth now, Come and Dine

Do you remember this old hymn?  It was written in 1907 by Charles Widmeyer.  I can't tell you how many times we sang this in church.  I don't hear it anymore.  The hymns have been placed on the shelf, mostly.  I sure miss some of them.  Here's the first verse (just in case you forgot).

Jesus has a table spread
Where the saints of God are fed,
He invites His chosen people, “Come and dine”;
With His manna He doth feed
And supplies our every need:Oh, ’tis sweet to sup with Jesus all the time! 

After singing this first verse we would take off with a hearty and rousing chorus: Come and Dine the Master Calleth... Come and Dine....

There was something comforting about sitting in a congregation with familiar folks - who became like family. And week after week we enjoyed the music, the worship, the sermon, and especially the greeting time before and after service.  It was our strength.  The hugs, handshakes, and smiles put a boost in our souls like nothing else.  We gained strength to go another day.  Another mile.  

By now you're probably trying to remember verses 2 and 3.

2.The disciples came to land,Thus obeying Christ’s command,For the Master called unto them, “Come and dine”;There they found their heart’s desire,Bread and fish upon the fire;Thus He satisfies the hungry every time.

   Soon the Lamb will take His bride
   To be ever at His side,
   All the host of heaven will assembled be;
   Oh, ’twill be a glorious sight,
   All the saints in spotless white;
   And with Jesus they will feast eternally.

Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

I read a devotion this morning and the author was expounding on this verse. He explained the Greek meaning of the word “forsaking”  egkataleipontes, which is a compound of three different Greek words: ek, kata, and leipo. 

These three words compounded pictures a person who feels out, down, and behind.  He feels discouraged, depressed and as though everyone else has surpassed him.  He may feel left out and defeated.  

We were created for companionship.  You may not enjoy huge crowds, that's ok.   Churches come in all sizes.  The important thing is that you find a church that preaches the whole gospel.  A church that praises the Lord.  A congregation that can become your family.  

I remember the feelings of the potluck dinners.  A meal shared with those of like precious faith!  I can recall searching for a particular dish that one certain lady would bring to every gathering ... and that bowl held food that I thoroughly enjoyed!  Are you remembering those times?  I'll bet you can name one of those women and the dish she brought, right now!  Of course, you can.  Because it was part of your life.  

What a fellowship, what a joy divine.   That's another great hymn we used to sing.  

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together ... but exhorting one another ... and so much more ... as we see the day approaching.

-One winter day, a gentleman riding on horseback along a Kentucky road met an old coloured slave plodding on through the deep snow to the house of God, which was four miles from his home. "Why, uncle," cried the gentleman, "you ought not to venture out such a distance on such a day! Why in the world don't you stay at home? .... Ah, massa," was the answer, "I darn't do dat! 'Cause, you see, I dunno when de blessing twine to come. An' 'spose it 'ud come dis snowy mornin', and I away? Oh, no! dat 'ud nebber do."

That would never do.  No, sir.  That would never do.  You don't know when the blessing might come ... and you could miss it.  

We need the fellowship of other believers.  We need the house of God.  We most certainly need to feast at the table spread with food for our souls by the Master, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  He prepares a feast of all good things... and piles it with good gifts from above.  Ah, there's nothing like quenching your thirst and feeding on heaven's bounty as you take in all of the blessings from the hugs, smiles, and encouragement given freely from other brothers and sisters in the family of God.

C. H. Spurgeon said, "You and I know that it is one of the sweetest things outside of heaven to talk to one another, and to exchange notes of our experience. As nations are enriched by commerce, so are Christians enriched by communion. As we exchange commodities in trade, so do we exchange our different forms of knowledge while we speak to one another of the things of the kingdom.

In these, the closing days of time, What joy the glorious hope affords,  That soon -- oh, wondrous truth sublime!  He shall reign, King of kings and Lord of lords.    This is the first verse of the hymn, "He's Coming Soon" ...  the chorus reads:

He's coming soon.  He's coming soon. 

With joy we welcome His returning;

It may be morn, it may be night or noon,

We know...He's coming soon.

The grains of the hour glass of this church age are gliding steadily out.  It's time to come and dine at the Master's Table.

We need each other.

We need fellowship.

The Master is still calling: Come and Dine.
